Takako Ono: Birds of Prophecy: World premiere in Riga

CROSSROADS / KRUSTCELES on December 27, 2022 in Organized within the Ukrainian - Latvian art exposition “Маріуполь не скорний” / “Mariupole–nesalauzta”/ "Mariupol - unbroken". Trio Metamorfoze Trio Metamorfoze is a contemporary chamber music ensemble that unites three Latvian musicians - flutists Liene Dobicina and Zane Jurevica and pianist Zane Rubesa. Established in 2015, the trio brings hypnotising performances to a rather simple set of instruments – two flutes and piano. Das Trio ist  Gewinner des Internationalen Kuhlauer Flötenwettbewerbs. The concert program CROSSROADS is a deep emotional and spiritual reflection of the creative team - performers and composers - on the theme of life and freedom in the context of the Ukrainian war. Through the selected works  Trio Metamorfoze is seeking to express the  compassion with war victims and to stand with Ukraine, two of the works in the program were created in the context of the war - "Barn swallow" by the composer Madaras Pētersone for two flutes, piano and electronics and "Birds of Prophecy" by the Japanese composer Takako Ono.
