The „Suite” for Soprano Saxophone and Marimba was written for the Duo, Jan Berry Baker (Saxophone) and Stuart Gerber (Marimba) who both play with the Atlanta based ensemble “Bent Frequency”. The five movements are all related, regarding both the scalic and motivic material, and require virtuosic players. The composer would like to thank the saxophonist, Oliver Riedmüller, for his advice about certain saxophone techniques.
