On 13.05.2022 at 20.00 in the Isarphilharmonie | Gasteig HP8 in Munich, performed by the femina musica münchen association: 

A slide lecture with classical music to travel along with provides insights into the biography of the composer Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn (1805-1847), who created a huge œuvre in her short life that has only been and is being rediscovered in our time.

In her lecture, musicologist Susanne Wosnitzka (Archiv Frau und Musik) will focus on Fanny Hensel’s trip to Italy in 1839/40, which gave enormous impetus to her creativity and gave her personal freedom for the first time. Stops on her journey included Munich and Hohenschwangau Castle. Its fantastic location probably inspired her to write her Swan Song. It was in Italy that Fanny Hensel was first described as a “true composer” – by none other than the composer Charles Gounod, who admired her talent and who stayed at the Villa Medici as a scholarship holder during this period.

The 20th International Viola d’amore Congress will take place from June 5th to 12th, 2022 at the Rheinsberg Music Academy in Brandenburg, Germany with concerts and lectures and workshops. The german premiere of Florentine Mulsant: Prélude et Danse pour Viole d‘Amour op. 101 will be part of it. More information here.

We are pleased to host today’s network meeting of the Börsenverein:

The Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels – Landesverband Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland e.V., together with the Hessischer Literaturrat and the publishers euregioverlag, Pan, Merseburger and Furore, is organising a networking meeting for North Hessian book-related organisations on 5 April from 6 pm.

The theme of the meeting is cooperation. Whether for events, media work, purchasing/sales, as a sparring partner for controlling or simply as a second opinion – strategic cooperation raises synergies. Cooperation bundles resources, strengthens capacities and leads to more attention from clients.

Corona has made it difficult for new cooperations to emerge. Together with the Börsenverein and participating companies, we are looking forward to this evening!
