In the introductory matinee a few days before the premiere, the dramaturges invite conductors, directing teams and members of the ensemble to a discussion. Together, they talk about the new production, present their work and arouse curiosity about the work to be discovered.
Marianna Martines was considered a child prodigy and could sing arias, play the harpsichord and compose. Encouraged by the Viennese court poet Metastasio, she took lessons from Joseph Haydn and Nicola Porpora, had Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a guest in her salon, played for Maria Theresa and renounced marriage in order to devote herself entirely to music. But such a talented and successful woman was not destined to be a permanent fixture in cultural history, and her once glorious name became a marginal note in the world of music.
