The Camerata21-Trio (Barbara Hesse-Bachmaier – mezzo-soprano, Monika Olszak – flute & saxophone and pianist Mirjam von Kirschten)

Presents a program of contrasts: in original compositions such as Hexenküche, Hexentanz, Satansgelächter, Phantom, Mephistolieder, the three musicians play poles that extend from delicate to intense, from conflictual to conciliatory, from harmonic to dissonant, from simple to virtuosic. Some of the pieces were composed especially for the ensemble.

Played will be works by: Mel Bonis (1858-1937), Gloria Coates (*1938), Cécile Chaminade (1857-1944), Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979), Robert Delanoff (*1942), Dorothee Eberhardt (*1952), Elena Firsova (+1950), Dorothea Hofmann (b. 1961), Narine Khachatryan (b. 1979), Ljubica Maric (1909-2003), Vivienne Olive (b. 1950), Clara Schumann (1819-1896), and Elke Tober-Vogt (b. 1957).

The program is supported by a grant from the German Music Council.
