Bringing music by female and male composers into an equal dialogue - that is the goal of the new concert series "Ladies and Gentleman," which, due to the pandemic, will kick off one year late at the Kreuzkirche. Thus, the first two concerts of the series refer to anniversaries of the year 2020. The first concert will feature music by Vivienne Olive (70+1) and Ludwig van Beethove (250+1). Biliana Tzinlikova (piano), Domenica Radlmaier (soprano and acting), Belcanto-Chor Salzburg (cond.: Gertraud Steinkogler-Wurzinger), Oberstimmenchor Bürmoos (cond.: Eva Neumayr), Sinfonietta da Camera Salzburg (cond. Peter Wesenauer) interpret works by Emilie Meyer (1812-1883), Fanny Hensel (1805-1847) and Ludwig van Beethoven (1772-1827) under the overall musical direction of Gertraud Steinkogler Wurzinger.   On the occasion of the Beethoven Year 2020, our choir and orchestra concert with theatrical elements was postponed several times due to corona. The second concert is a song recital on the occasion of the 100th birthday / 50th anniversary of the death of the poet Paul Celan last year. In the center are settings of Celan poems from the pens of Noam Sheriff ("Nocturnes") and Carmen Maria Cârneci ("The No Man's Rose"). They are joined by songs by the composer Fanny Hensel and Viktor Ullmann, who was murdered in Auschwitz in 1944.
