“What is happening around us is monstrous and inhuman,” writes the composer. “When the war began, I felt numb, I was speechless. Only the sounds remained. I put them together to express my pain and sorrow and to call on everyone: Pray for Ukraine, for its children, for its freedom.”
The work Pray for Ukraine premiered on March 26, 2022, at the Evangelical Church in Kassel-Rothenditmold. The Camerata Kassel Orchestra performed under the direction of Michael Kravtchin
