The musical oeuvre of the German composer Luise Greger comprises 200 single works in the course of her long lifetime – among them more than 100 songs.

“For most readers, the German composer Greger Luise (1862-1944) is unknown. However, she has written over 100 songs and two operas. The publisher Furore brought out an edition with 9 songs for baritone (as-ges”, optinonal a”) and piano. They are written in a late romantic idiom, sometimes with a reminiscent to Brahms and Grieg. The attractive piano accompaniments are very visual and expressive with beautiful harmonic twists. The voice is melodic less strong, but let the text stand out well.” Vrienden van het Lied, June 2013
