Stylistically, FÜR DREI draws on the “classical modern”: the slow melancholy parts reveal a strong reference to Bartók’s espressivo, while in the lively movements with their frequent time signature changes, jocularity and joy of playing are evident, somewhat reminiscent of Stravinsky.
