The piece echoes the profound dream of all artists: two contrasting worlds, one, the artist lives in, the other he creates his work, merge into one another. At the end of the fairytale-like story by Marguerite Yourcenar on which the composition is based, the painter Wang-Fo simply steps into the boat in his painting and sails away. In Konductus different sound worlds emerge and flow into one another.
