Description
The piece was commissioned by the Town Twinning Office in Nuremberg to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the friendship between Nuremberg and Nice. The first performance took place on 20th October 2014 in the Historic Town Hall of Nuremberg. The players were Theresa Holzmeier and Ivan Gotsa. The duet combines the well-known canon by the Nuremberg composer, Johann Pachelbel, with the unofficial anthem of Nice, „Nissa la Bella“.
