Instrumentation: violin and piano

Medium difficulty, for lessons and concert. Thanks to the moderate difficulty of the violin, the sonatas are ideal for teaching purposes.

Her twelve sonatas Op. 1 and Op. 2 for Harpsichord or Pianoforte with an accompaniment for a violin
appeared in 1780 in two volumes with six sona-tas each in London, where she was staying with her
husband for a guest performance. They are in tune with the taste of the times for adding an ad libitum
string (or wind) part to piano sonatas.
