Katerina Pinosová-Ruzicková

Katerina Pinosová-Ruzicková was born in Brno, Czech Republic in 1972 and studied composition at the Janáček Academy for Music and Performing Arts and Musicology and Aesthetics at Masaryk University in Brno. She was ERASMUS-SOKRATES scholarship holder at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe (studied with Wolfgang Rihm). Since 2017 she has been a composition and piano teacher in Schwetzingen.
Prizes and awards among others: 2nd prize at the international composer competition “Artistes en herbe” in Luxembourg (2015), honorary prize in the international composer competition “Stonavska Barborka” 2014, honorary prize at the international composer competition of the State Philharmonic Orchestra Brno, for the composition “Attitudes” (2004), 1st prize at the international composition competition for electro-acoustic music Musica nova.
