Composed in March 2014, the Pie Jesu for violoncello and mixed choir op. 51 is dedicated to Henri Demarquette. Its duration is 6 minutes and follows the Latin text of the Pie Jesu. The work is composed of three parts. Each part is introduced by an ascending melodic phrase of the violoncello.
