Like a magnet the virtuous cello polarizes and scatters the tones of its monologue into the orchestra from which instruments soloistically emerge and return into the tutti: an ever self-rebuilding wholee sound, that comes from everywhere, moves in all directions, thus creating a complex live-like feeling of space. An obsessive quest for the lost tonic (RE) between the consitence of a major mood, never classically figured, and the volatility of a minor one – a restless, ambiguous “landscape” that eventually freezes into a nostalgically coloured perspective.
