Olga Magidenko’s oeuvre encompasses a variety of genres: so far, she has written four symphonies (with two of them premiered in Moscow), one children’s opera “Der gestohlene Buchstabe”, solo works for piano, organ, accordion and harp as well as chamber music featuring various unusual orchestrations, plus a string quartet with solo soprano. With her dissertation, the 1st Symphony “Ostinato”, she won the composition award of the Soviet Republics in 1980.
