A few years ago I discovered a book of poems by Rose Ausländer in my library. Immediately the poem NOCH BIST DU DA (You are still there) fell into my hands, suitable for a concert tour to the Ukraine to Lviv and Chernowitz which I planned at that time. This had to be cancelled and I started the tour in Suceava, in the Romanian part of Bukovina. Since then many compositions for my project WIRF DEINE ANGST IN DIE LUFT (Throw your fear into the air), a line from the poem “Noch bist du da” by Rose Ausländer) have been written.
And so, with the kind support of Furore Verlag, I am pleased to be able to present six compositions for my concert project. It is precisely the positive aura of the poem by Ausländer, a woman who never had it easy in her life and yet always believed in the future, that moved me to this project.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the female composers who have enriched the guitaristic repertoire in different approaches to the subject.
I wish the guitar book much success and the guitarists a lot of fun with the music.
