The composer Erna Woll studied Protestant church music with Wolfgang Fortner in Heidelberg and composition with Joseph Haas and Gustav Geierhaas at the Munich Academy of Music, as well as school music and Catholic church music at the Cologne University of Music, among others with Hermann Schroeder. She was u. a. Honorary professor at the University of Education in Augsburg.
Her oeuvre includes over 200 works, mainly sacred music. Some choir songs have been released by Furore.
