Marianne Stoll was born in 1911 in Stuttgart. She studied music at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart.
After her final exam 1934, she studied church music in Stuttgart and Leipzig. Later on she worked in Lustnau and Stuttgart and the last eight years as an organist at the Jakobuskirche in Tübingen (James church). At the local music school she had a teaching job in piano, flute and chamber music.
After her retirement, she founded a senior citizen orchestra in Tübingen in order, as she said, to give older people the opportunity to make music together. She died on 28 January 2012 in Tübingen.
