Michaela Dietl was born in Landshut, Germany. She served her musical apprenticeship on the streets of Europe, so to speak, and developed her own style of European street music for accordion and voice. In addition to composing music for documentary films and theatre, she has worked on one-woman shows with her own songs. Michaela Dietl’s works include orchestral compositions for accordion orchestra and string quartet, soprano, oboe and percussion, a requiem, a cantata, her “Sinfonia Fantasia” and “Bavarian Rhapsody”, and compositions for choir. She received the “Scharfrichterbeil” cabaret award in Passau and gives annual improvisation workshops in Italy.
