Sheena Phillips is a composer and choir director based in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up in London, studied maths at Cambridge University, and gradually made her way into choral directing and composing. Her work has been widely commissioned, published or performed by, among others, the National Youth Choir of Scotland, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, Voices of Ascension (NYC), Amasong (Illinois), Chicago A Cappella, Anima Children’s Chorus (Chicago), the Hallé Choral Academy (Manchester), VocalEssence (Minneapolis), Cappella Nova (Scotland), CoMA (Contemporary Music for All, UK), and Echo (London). She is largely self-taught but has studied composition with Emily Doolittle for several years.
